This is an ASGA Multi-Chapter Invitational
at PGA National Resort
in Palm Beach Gardens, Florida.
Unlike other ASGA Multi-Chapter Events,
this event is a 4 night / 5-day event
and includes 3 rounds of golf.
Arrive Tuesday, January 2, 2024 - Depart Saturday, January 6, 2024
(Add'l. nights available at reduced rate up to 1 day before and 3 days after our event's over.)
OPEN TO ALL CURRENT ASGA MEMBERS
Yes, you must be a member of ASGA at the time of the event to attend this multi-chapter event. To join or renew your membership in ASGA, go to www.SinglesGolf.com/join.
We were at PGA National Resort these same dates in 2023 and many indicated they'd like to return. The Resort has given us favorable rates because 1) they like us and 2) we arrive on January 2nd after every visitor and vacationer heads home after the holiday. PGA National is a bucket list resort; it's been the site of the Honda Classic since 2007. So, explore the various tabs on the left side of this website and sign-up soon. Save additional when you room with a friend, otherwise we cannot guarantee ASGA will provide a roommate for you . . . but we will try!
Click on the GOLF TAB below left to see which courses we will play.
11/03/2023 Update on playing the Champion Course: As shown above, we originally had tee times for 12 players. As additional players registered, that number increased . . . significantly. We are currently at 35 players. In working with the Resort today, we have now been allowed 48 players starting at 9:24am on Friday, January 5, 2024. Once we fill to that capacity, the only way to play the Champion Course would be to put on a waiting list.

So please don't assume you can wait until the last minute to register.

PAY BY ZELLE if you can. ASGA gladly accepts Zelle and you'll save 3% on the credit card fee we will charge you otherwise. (Important Note per Bank of America: "Bank of America will never ask a client to send money to themselves or anyone, ever. Spoofing and fraud communications often have urgency, typos, asking clients to send money etc. They use more and more sophisticated methods to appear to be authentic from the bank. Bank of America prioritizes client protection and works with clients to mitigate risks. When sending money using Zelle, clients receive several messages alerting them to red-flags that indicate a scam. Clients with questions should call the customer service number on their debit or credit card or bank statement to confirm any questionable or fraudulent inquiries.")
GOOD NEWS . . . Note that as of October 5, ZellePay.com/faQ/BankofAmerica is not allowing B of A users to use the Zelle app any longer. If you bank with BofA, you'll need to login to BofA first, and then go to the Zelle/Transfer link to transfer money. More info on this at www.ZellePay.com/faq/BankofAmerica
Credit cards carry a 3% fee. Or, mail check to 1122 Industrial Dr., Suite 107, Matthews, NC 28105 or pay by Zelle (our phone is 980-833-6450).
All taxes and resort service fees have been included in the above totals.
Airfare is NOT INCLUDED in any package. See the "Getting There" link on left side of this page for airport information and the Resort address. To get to the Resort, you may have to take an UBER or LYFT or TAXI to get to the Resort unless you rent a car.

If you're rooming with someone and you want to stay extra day(s) and they do not, or, if you've requested ASGA to provide you with a roommate and you want to stay extra day(s) by yourself, you are responsible for the room-by-myself rate for those extra night(s).

NOTICE TO ATTENDEES REGARDING HOUSEKEEPING GRATUITY AND PORTERAGE FEE
(Per our contract with the Resort, we are required to post this statement):

Golf Play Format: we will play our own ball each day using the USGA Rules of Golf.
Scoring will be based on the two best net balls per foursome per hole. If you're in a threesome, the pro or assistant pro will do a blind draw for your fourth player.
We will play three (3) rounds of golf: We will play the Fazio course twice and the Palmer course once as opposed to playing the Match course. Note that the Match course traditionally is created for match play and was not favored by our attendees last year, thus we'll play the Fazio course twice.
1st day of golf will be Wednesday, January 3, 2024 at 1:30pm on the Fazio course; second day of golf will be on Thursday, January 4 at 8:30am on the Palmer course; and third day of golf will be on Friday, January 5 at 8:30am on the Fazio course. Shotgun starts each day.
Men will play the tee boxes closest to 5600 yards, women will play the boxes closest to 5000 yards.
OPTIONAL DAY-OF-ARRIVAL GOLF ON THE STAPLES, A 9-HOLE PAR 3 COURSE - A great warm-up round. Bring just a few clubs as holes are from 60-130 yards away. Looks like a beautiful little par 3 - click here for a snippet. Cost is an optional $39. Tee times beginning at 2:00pm.
OPTIONAL ROUND ON CHAMPION COURSE - Optional round at the Champion course (site of the Honda Classic) on Friday, Jan. 5 with tee times starting at 9:33 am. We are holding tee times for 12 players on this course. Cost is a $162 upcharge over the package prices but you won't play with the group on Friday, Jan. 5 at the Palmer course, and no refund or credit for not playing with the group. So essentially the cost of playing the Champion course is $319.00. Price includes a forecaddie but gratuity is additional which would be a suggested amount from $35 to $50 per player as noted by the Resort.
To view the Champion Course website, go here.
Competition and Prizes. For our primary package rounds, prize certificates go to the first and second place team winners. Scoring based on the two (2) best net balls out of each foursome and closest-to-pin competitions on certain par 3s. Scorecards will be dotted. Winners will be announced at our final nights' award's dinner and ASGA $25 Prize Certificates will be awarded.
Prize Certificates are good toward $25 off your annual ASGA dues, $25 off any upcoming ASGA-National-sponsored multi-chapter event for up to one year later, or an ASGA-logoed golf shirt (incl. shipping). Certificates are non-transferrable and cannot be replaced if lost or stolen. Prize certificates are not valid for ASGA cruises.
Golf Club Storage. The Resort will store your clubs and have them sitting on your cart each day. Upon arrival, you will leave your clubs at the main hotel entrance.
Make sure your name is on your golf bag. Also, make sure you have your name on each of your clubs. ASGA provides a set of 14 labels as part of your ASGA membership fee. If you don't have your name and contact phone on each of your clubs, go here to order a set. Allow 7-10 days for processing. When you leave the hotel to return home, be sure to remember to pack your clubs!
ASGA or the staff at any of our courses reserve the right to modify the time of play schedule based on the number of players as we get closer to the event. Simply put, if we don't have enough for a shotgun, we do straight tee times. For our package rounds at this event, we are scheduled to have shotgun starts all days on our package courses.

Getting To PGA National Resort
If you're driving to this venue, you'll likely have some sort of GPS with you. So here's their information to put into your system:
PGA NATIONAL RESORT
400 Avenue of the Champions, Palm Beach Gardens, Florida
To visit the resort's website (PGAResort.com), click here
Phone 800-863-2819
CHECK-IN TIME IS 4:00 PM CHECK-OUT TIME IS 12:00 PM
If you're flying, you'll want to fly into PALM BEACH INTERNATIONAL (PBI Airport). No shuttle service to the hotel is available, however, we suggest Uber, Lyft or a taxi to get you to the hotel. It's about a $25 charge each way.
DO YOU RENT A CAR? That is up to you, however, think about this: you'll likely fly into Palm Beach International Airport (PBI Airport) which is about 77 miles north of Miami. From there, you could take an Uber, Lyft or even a taxi and get to the Resort. (Share that cost if you are with another ASGA member.) We were told it's about a $25 Uber ride from the PBI airport. So we don't suggest renting a car. The Resort will provide transportation to all your on-property venues. We'll have dinner on property three out of four nights and group transportation is provided for the night we have dinner off property. The golf courses at PGA National are just out the back door of the hotel. Yes, they really are!
PARKING: If you drive to the Resort, there is free self-parking.
