Yes, we have SOLD OUT of our room block at the Embassy Suites Patriot's Point.

As of 2/10/22, we have 30 rooms at the Hampton Inn, about 1/2 mile away from the Embassy Suites.

These rooms are made up of 12 kings and 12 double doubles (2 queens in room).

Once these rooms are gone, we may not be able to get more.

AN EVENT OPEN TO ALL CURRENT ASGA MEMBERS

We anticipate another great turnout because the hotels have given us a great rate as compared to their online rate. So explore the various tabs on this website and sign-up soon. Save additional when you room with a friend; otherwise, we guarantee we can pair you with a same-gendered roommate if you register and pay by February 20th. We'll play the Harbor Course at Wild Dunes and Dunes West for our two package rounds of golf and two optional + additional (day-of-arrival and day-of-departure) rounds for the die-hard golfers at the Links (ocean) course at Wild Dunes.

 

Around 70 of our attendees will stay at the Embassy Suites, the remainder at the nearby Hampton Inn. It's about a 15-minute walk between the two hotels.

IMPORTANT:  We have reserved a block of rooms our three peak nights (Sun/Mon/Tues).  You can register at any time, however, when we fill-up the block we have reserved, we will seek to add more rooms, but there is no guarantee rooms will be available as the public will be reserving rooms during this time period as well. THE PACKAGES

Included in all packages is the following:

  • Three (3) nights' stay at the new Embassy Suites by Hilton (right across the Cooper River in Mt. Pleasant, SC), or
  • Three (3) nights' stay at the Hampton Inn nearby (also right across the Cooper River in Mt. Pleasant, SC)
  • Two (2) rounds of golf: Harbor Course at Wild Dunes and Dunes West
  • Six food functions: Three (3) breakfasts and three (3) dinners. 
  • Manager's reception each evening in the hotel lobby with beer, wine, cocktails/beverages and snacks (open to all hotel guests).  Hampton Inn guests must pay for their drinks at the cash bar.
  • Wifi in guest rooms and meeting space
  • Welcome gift, Program and Pairings Guide, Nametags, ASGA Prize Certificates for winners of competitions  
  • All taxes and/or fees

PARKING: The Embassy Suites is located at the entrance of Patriot's Point attached to the rear of the Embassy Suites hotel. In our negotiations with the hotel, they lowered the room rate to offset the parking garage cost but could only offer five-dollars off daily parking which then went from $25 per day to $20. 

There is free parking at the Hampton Inn.

UPON ARRIVAL: You may leave your golf clubs in your car, bring them to your room or leave them in a room off the main lobby (ask the bell personel to store them there and to give you a ticket). Be sure to take your clubs with you as you leave to the golf courses.

Airfare is NOT INCLUDED in any package.  See the "Getting There" link on left for airport information and resort address.  Once you are there at the hotel, we'll have a "Need-A-Ride / Give-A-Ride" form so you can hop a ride to the courses. We'll also have the FORUM button set-up on this sit where you can communicate with other attendees and set-up a ride-share to the airport via taxi or Uber.

Golf

 

 

Courses:

Optional Day-of-Arrival Golf (March 20):  Links Course at Wild Dunes (not included in the packages)

Sign-up for either round (or both) on the registration form.

No competitions, play your own ball and enjoy. Tee times will start at 10:20am.  Cost is $179, inclusive of sales tax.

The Links Golf Course was Tom Fazio's first. Today, it's still among his favorites - and he's not the only one. From the rustling palms lining lush, rolling fairways to a finishing hole overlooking the glistening Atlantic Ocean, the Links Course is South Carolina golf at its finest. 

Will will play this same course for the Optional Day-of-Departure Golf (March 23). This round is not included in your package. Cost is $179, inclusive of sales tax. Tee times start at 9:30am.

 

Harbor Course at Wild Dunes

On our first day of package golf (Monday, March 21), we will play the Harbor Course at Wild Dunes for a 1pm shotgun. We will take a group photo at 12:40pm.

Men will play from the white tees at 5900 yards; ladies will play from the red tees at 4689 yards.

Dunes West

On our second day of package golf (Tuesday, March 22) we will play Dunes West Golf Course for an 8:30am shotgun.

Men will play from the white tees at 5424 yards; ladies will play from the red tees at 5129 yards

Golf Play Format.  We will play our own ball each day using the USGA Rules of Golf


Need-a-Ride? Can you Give-a-Ride?

If you don't have your own car, ASGA will have a "Need-a-Ride / Give-a-Ride" form at the registration table whereby you can set-up a ride to the various courses if you wish. 

Note that when you register, you'll be asked if you'll have your car or rent a car for the event. This gives us some idea of how many cars will be available to (possibly) allow someone to ride with you.

 


Competition and Prizes.  For our primary package rounds, prize certificates go to the first and second place team winners. Scoring based on the two (2) best net balls out of each foursome and closest-to-pin competitions on certain par 3s.  Winners will be announced at our final nights' award's dinner. ASGA $25 Prize Certificates will be awarded to the winners.  Prize Certificates are good toward $25 off your annual ASGA dues, $25 off any upcoming ASGA-National-sponsored multi-chapter event for up to one year later, or an ASGA-logoed golf shirt (incl. shipping). Certificates a bit beyond one year after this event is over and are non-transferrable and cannot be replaced if lost or stolen. Prize certificates are not valid for ASGA cruises.

Golf Club Storage.   You may leave your golf clubs at the bell stand upon arrival but remember to take them with you each day or leave them in your car. Make sure your name is on your golf bag.  Also, make sure you have your name on each of your clubs. ASGA provides a set of 14 labels as part of your membership fee. If you don't have your name and contact phone on each of your clubs, go here to order a set. Allow 7-10 days for processing. When you leave the hotel to return home, be sure to remember to pack your clubs!  

ASGA or the staff at any of our courses reserve the right to modify the time of play schedule based on the number of players as we get closer to the event. Simply put, if we don't have enough for a shotgun, we do straight tee times.

Food

If you have a special dietary need, please indicate that on your registration form.

In all packages, the following will be included:

  • Welcome Dinner on Sunday at 7pm at the Embassy Suites
  • Three (3) breakfasts
  • Three (3) dinners (in addition to Sunday's dinner, we'll have a second dinner at Wild Dunes clubhouse (Palmetto Hall) directly after our round on Monday plus a final award's dinner on Tuesday night onboard the USS Yorktown. This is a catered dinner by Home Team BBQ and the entrees will be dry rubbed chicken and sliced beef brisket. 

Food Allergies and/or Special Dietary Needs:  If you have a special dietary need, e.g. gluten free, meat free, fat-free, pork-free or a nothing burger, etc., you must notify at the time you register. Please DO NOT ask right prior to the food function as there will be no time to take care of your needs. There is a place on the registration form for you to indicate your dietary need. Once we are at a particular venue, it is UP TO YOU to notify the restaurant/venue staff who you are and that you are the one with the special dietary need. We will not try to find you (thank you!).

Please be advised that certain functions, such as breakfast or other times when buffets are present, pork (bacon/sausage) may be on display.

If you're flying, you'll want to fly into Charleston International Airport (CHS). No shuttle service to the hotel is available, however, we suggest Uber or Lyft or a taxi to get you to the hotel. 

PARKING AT EMBASSY SUITES: Self parking is $20 / night + tax and is attached as a garage to the rear of the hotel.

Parking is free at the Hampton Inn.

Consider sharing the cost of a rental car with others in your chapter or friends arriving about the same time at the airport.
