PLEASE READ THESE

IMPORTANT NOTES BEFORE PROCEEDING

This event has two parts:  The "land" segment and the "cruise" segment.

Tom Alsop will handle the land segment (hotels, golf, restaurants, transportation (no airline).

Email: Tom@SinglesGolf.com

Sue Eliasberg will handle the cruise segment:

Email: SusanE@CruiseWeb.com

Be sure to utilize the GREEN TABS at left to navigate all sections of this website.

The Land Segment

Fly into Quebec City (YQB) on June 24, 2026. The airport is about 10 miles from The Fairmont Le Château Frontenac. Plan to share an Uber or Lyft with another member—use the “Chat With Others” link to coordinate and split costs.

Hotel check-in is at 4:00 pm (early check-in may be available upon request).

This is a one-way cruise ending in Boston on July 4 (BOS). We have discounted ASGA rates at The Fairmont Copley Plaza for 1–2 nights, though rates are higher due to the holiday weekend. You may depart Boston at your convenience.

The ship arrives in Boston at 7:00 am. You can likely store luggage at the hotel until your room is ready. Rooms are run-of-house (assigned at check-in for the best available rate).

The afternoon on July 4th is yours and is free to explore. Optional excursions will be shared closer to the trip.

The Cruise Segment

Sue Eliasberg has created a flyer that describes the ship, the ports we'll visit, etc. The cruise begins on June 27 and ends on July 4. To see the flyer, go here.

Current Status

We have selected our two hotels and four golf courses as noted on this website. At each hotel, the hotel will provide a dinner to our attendees, assuming prices are in line with our budget; otherwise, we might schedule dinner elsewhere.

Options

We advertised this event as one that will offer plenty of options. It is suggested that you stay at the Fairmont in QC at least the night prior to embarking the cruise ship. We have reserved rooms at this Fairmont for three nights, and if you decide to book one night, it should be the third night, the night before our ship departs the following morning, which also includes dinner.

There is minimal interest with a few people who do not want to take the cruise on the St. Lawrence River, so they can stay at the Fairmont for as many nights as they wish, while the rest of the group will be rolling on the river. They will also have to plan their own activities for as many days as they will stay in the Quebec City area. You'd likely depart from the Quebec airport. Airport Code: YQB  Airport Website: Click Here

We have four golf courses scheduled. You can play 1, 2, 3, 4 or 5 rounds (or no golf) with our last round at the Woodlands CC in Portland. So private that only six more of our attendees can play this course!

Cell Phones

We likely have your cell number on file from your membership application, or, if we don't, we need you to provide it when signing up for this event. We use a service called SimpleTexting.com to send out SMS text messages to our attendees at all multi-chapter events. We use this service in case an important notice needs to go out during our trip. Please remember to submit your cell number when registering for this event. Thank you!

Canadian Sales Tax System and Tips

You might think sales taxes are high in the Province of Quebec, and they are compared to those in the USA. Quebec and other provinces use a dual sales tax system that combines the federal GST and provincial taxes. This creates either HST in some provinces or separate GST and PST in others, resulting in the 14.975% total rate for hotels and golf.

GST: 5% federal tax
HST: Combined federal/provincial 13-15%
PST: Provincial tax 6-9.975%

From these taxes, the government typically pays the residents for doctor visits, hospital stays, etc., along with a host of other public benefits.

Tips

Tips are not included in the meals you purchase on your own, although they are included in anything ASGA sells under our packages. The recommended tip amount is 15-20% based on the pre-taxed ticket. On the cruise segment, tips are covered in a different way so please read your material on cabin gratuity, certain dinners, etc.

MISCELLANY

PLEASE CHECK BACK TO THIS WEBSITE regularly to review any changes. Changes will be shown in GREEN. We will not send emails each time there is a minor change. At any time, there could be special notices or updates to this event. That info will be posted under the "Emails/Updates" link on the left side of this page.

Before You Travel . . . Before You Sign-Up . . .

There are always risks involved with travel, both in the U. S. and internationally.  This website is about a group traveling to Canada, ending in Boston. Also, check out this .gov website for more information and pre-trip planning: Search

The American Singles Golf Association (ASGA) is known for its top-quality international group trips.  For most members, this is a trip of a lifetime, and as such, we don't cut corners. We always book 4- or 5-star hotels, play some of the most beautiful courses ever, enjoy great meals, and turn fellow travelers into lifelong friends!

To save our attendees money, we will only have two (2) group dinners during our stay. These dinners will be on our arrival night at The Fairmont Le Château Frontenac and the Fairmont Copley Plaza (subject to some discussion with each hotel on the cost of the meals). Group dinners at hotels are very expensive, and we found from our trip to Portugal last August that attendees enjoyed breaking up into small groups and going out to restaurants at night. A list of recommended restaurants will be supplied to you prior to your leaving the USA and it will also be printed in the Program & Pairings Guide, which you'll receive at the registration table at the event.

HOTEL ROOMS & ROOMMATES:  You can register at any time; however, when we fill up our block of rooms, we may not be able to get additional rooms because the public will be reserving rooms as well. So please don't assume you can wait until the last minute to register. Register right away, and if you know you'll have a roommate, it helps if both of you register around the same day.  IMPORTANT NOTE:  If you are the last person to register for this event and we don't have a roommate for you, you will have to pay the "room-by-myself" package, so REGISTER EARLY to keep from being the last to register!

Also, one final thing on roommates: Should we assume that if you are rooming with someone on the ship, you will also room with them at the hotels? We would LIKE to, however, let us know if you will not be rooming with the same person.

Airfare is NOT INCLUDED in any package.  See the "Getting There" tab at left to connect with major airlines.

Emails / Updates - - In chronological order of the date sent

It is our policy to email significant updates to attendees during and after the registration period.  If you do not have email or access to email, we rely on you to stay updated on the event by checking-in with this website from time to time.  All emails that update, modify or alter any detail of this event will have links to this page for your later review.  ASGA is not responsible if you do not read emails once you're registered.  Continue to check back to this site for updates.

To make sure you get all the emails, use this form to add your email Note: Even though you submit your email to us, they may not always be welcomed by your inbox. This is especially true with emails ending in @att.net or @bellsouth.net.  In order to have the best chance for our emails to get into your email account, please add these FIVE (5) email addresses to your address book in your email account:

UPDATES

No doubt, from time to time, ASGA may need to update certain aspects to this trip. If we have to make a change (and that's very rare), we will put the change in a GREEN FONT for you to discern as you read it.

The American Singles Golf Association

is going to Canada!

Quebec City to Boston

July 24 - July 6, 2026

Yes, after many weeks of interviewing nearly 30 venues (golf courses, hotels, restaurants, transportation companies, etc.) . . . the website is now done.

Not to say there won't be some changes over the next 82 days when our event starts on June 24.

We'll land in Quebec City (QC), spend up to 3 nights at The Fairmont Le Château Frontenac, play one round of golf in QC, then head out on the Holland America Zuiderdam along the St. Lawrence River for 7 days. We'll play 3 courses along the way, then end-up in Boston on July 4th with a fireworks show welcoming ASGA members back to the USA (and celebrating our country's 250 Anniversary / Birthday. We'll spend 2-3 nights in Boston.

All details are at the site: https://www.SinglesGolf.com/ASGAinCANADA

Note that any changes we make to the ASGAinCanada website will be shown in a GREEN FONT, as we're certain we'll be making some changes. And if we do, it's because we know our golf counts will vary, course to course or a hotel is charging us an amount for a dinner that is way beyond our budget, or for any other reason. If we have to make a substitution, plus or minus, our policy is that we will hopefully not have to charge more or we will put the difference back into your ASGA account.

Online registration IS READY for you to get your money in!

NOTE: We don't know how many will eventually attend. This event is like no other, with a land segment and a cruise segment. Sue Eliasberg (a DC ASGA member and cruise consultant with Cruise Web) tells me that we have almost 60 members signed-up for the river cruise. The website shows the "who's coming" list. What we don't know is how many will arrive in QC on the 24th, 25th or 26th of June before the ship leaves the next day on June 27.

So before we finalize our contract with The Fairmont Le Château Frontenac, we need for you to register in order for us to reserve the amount of rooms we need. PLEASE REGISTER AS SOON AS POSSIBLE. We offer a 2% discount if you pay in full or, you can pay split your payments and pay one-third every 25, NOW by April 6, then 50% of the balance by May 1 and 50% by June 1.

By the way, except for the 7-day cruise portion of this trip, everything else is OPTIONAL. You can arrive June 24, 25 or 26 or NOT stay in the Frontenac at all, and then you can OPT OUT of any hotel stay after the river cruise is complete. But staying at least one night on July 4 will allow you to see the fireworks. You can Opt-in or Opt-out of golf and any paid excursioin activity that we will present to you. Some days can be totally on your own if you wish. Keep in mind, you're in a city you've likely never been in so make sure you're with another ASGA member to share the experience with.

Register Now . . . See you soon!

Update on "ASGA in Canada" Trip - June 24-July 6, 2026

From American Singles Golf Association on 2026-03-22 11:28 pm

Dear ASGA Member (or Former Member),

We’re excited to share that the Canada trip website is finally complete—well, about 99%! This has been a significant effort, especially coordinating the land portion (Quebec City and Boston), which involved working with 20–25 different venues to ensure the best possible value for everyone.

The good news: the current exchange rate is in our favor. Approximately $100 Canadian equals about $75 USD, giving us a strong starting point. This promises to be a truly memorable experience—combining historic cities, outstanding golf, and (hopefully!) beautiful weather.

For Those Considering Joining Us

If you’re thinking about joining the trip, please reach out to Sue as soon as possible so she can reserve a cabin for you. She can also help you take advantage of current promotions and ensure you get the best overall value. The earlier you book, the better your options will be.

Trip Overview

  • Land Portion: Includes hotels, golf, select meals, and transportation. Full details are available on the event website.
  • Cruise Portion: Over 50 ASGA members have already secured their spot with a $350 deposit—and there is still room! Holland America is a mid-size ship; however, as we get closer, be aware that non-ASGA members will be signing up as well.

Cruise promotions come and go, but booking sooner allows you to lock in the best value and take advantage of available offers.

The Courses We'll Play

We have announced that we will play four (4) courses during this event. One course in Quebec City, the other three along the St. Lawrence River via Holland America's Zuiderdam.

Golf is optional so that you can sign up for 0, 1, 2, 3, 4, or maybe 5 rounds.

We sought to have shotgun starts. With a shotgun start, normally, we would take over a golf course. With our group of players (and not knowing what our final number of players would look like), we managed to secure modified shotguns or split-tees for each of our rounds. No full shotguns.

4 ROUNDS OF GOLF + 1 MORE

ATTENTION DIE HARD GOLFERS:  On July 3 - Portland, Maine USA - We have two ASGA members who belong to a private golf course in Portland, the Woodlands Country Club. We will have room for 14 ASGA members to play this course today. Time at 2:30 pm. (No worries, the ship won't leave until 10 pm.) Cost is $140, which includes round-trip group transportation. Email Tom@SinglesGolf.com to secure your spot. Word got out and 6 people are already on the list. 8 spots left!  THIS ROUND IS SOLD OUT!

June 25 - 12:30 pm - Quebec City: Cap Rouge Golf Club

Phone: 418-658-0711

Cap Rouge GC (includes green fee, range balls, cart, round-trip transportation, and sales tax) $195.00 (US)

Nestled near the scenic banks of the St. Lawrence River, this well-maintained and enjoyable golf course sits quietly within a charming residential neighborhood, offering players a peaceful and inviting setting for a memorable round. While the Riverside holes may not remain in play year-round, the course’s attractive design and excellent upkeep provide a rewarding challenge for golfers of all skill levels in a classic parkland environment.

The walkable terrain features a pleasant variety of straight-away and gently dog-legging holes that flow naturally through two distinct nine-hole loops, each beginning and ending near the clubhouse. Subtle elevation changes appear primarily at the start and finish of each nine, adding interest without detracting from the course’s easy walkability.

Homes in the surrounding community are thoughtfully set back from the fairways, ensuring both privacy and an uninterrupted golfing experience. Most holes at Cap Rouge are framed by mature trees that define the fairways while still allowing room for recovery should a shot stray offline. Only shots that wander well beyond the tree line risk becoming difficult to locate.

Water features provide both beauty and challenge, with ponds guarding the greens on several holes—including three of the four par threes. Complementing these natural hazards is a striking collection of sand-faced “tongue” bunkers positioned strategically along fairways and around greens, demanding careful shot selection and precise approach play.

Altogether, this attractive and thoughtfully designed course delivers an enjoyable and relaxing round of golf in a tranquil parkland setting—making it a delightful destination for both local players and visitors seeking a quality golf experience near the St. Lawrence River.

June 30 - Time TBA. Charlottetown, Prince Edward Island: The Links at Crowbush Cove

Phone: 800-235-8909     (includes green fee, cart, range balls, round-trip transportation, and sales tax) $205.00 (US)

Crowbush Cove Golf Club, officially known as The Links at Crowbush Cove, is one of the most respected golf courses in Prince Edward Island (PEI), Canada, and is widely considered a must-play destination for visiting golfers. The 18-hole public championship course plays to a par 72 and stretches about 6,900 yards from the back tees. Built among the sand dunes overlooking the Gulf of St. Lawrence, Crowbush offers a coastal links-style experience similar to courses in Scotland and Ireland, with Atlantic winds frequently influencing club selection.

A distinctive feature of Crowbush is how the layout moves through three different landscapes: coastal sand dunes, wetlands with water hazards, and inland spruce forests. The course features rolling fairways, deep pot bunkers, dramatic ocean views, and winds that constantly challenge players. One of its most memorable holes is the par-5 11th, “Sully’s Run,” which begins from a high dune tee and requires a marsh carry on the approach.

The course is also a key stop on the Prince Edward Island Golf Trail, often paired with nearby courses such as Dundarave and Brudenell River. With its scenic coastal setting and authentic links-style design, Crowbush Cove is widely regarded as one of Canada’s premier seaside public golf courses.

July 1 - Tee times starting at 9:30 am                  Sydney, Nova Scotia: The Lakes at Ben Eoin Golf Club

Phone: 902-828-2277   (includes green fee, cart, range balls, round-trip transportation, and sales tax) - $185 (US)

Designed by renowned architect Graham Cooke, The Lakes Golf Club at Ben Eoin stands among the finest golf experiences in all of Canada. Set against the breathtaking backdrop of Cape Breton Island, this unforgettable course delivers dramatic elevation changes and sweeping views that make every hole a visual masterpiece.

From the opening tee to the final putt, golfers are treated to eighteen distinct postcard moments. Each hole reveals its own personality and scenery, building anticipation for what awaits around the next bend. Towering rock outcrops, winding streams, lush grassy meadows, and expansive panoramic vistas combine to create a layout that is as inspiring as it is challenging.

“The Lakes presents the golfer with eighteen distinct postcard views,” says Cooke. “Each hole has its own special look, creating an expectation of what lies ahead or around the next bend. The diversity of the landscape — from rock outcrops to mystical long views — shapes an experience that is both visually stunning and strategically rewarding.”

The result is a course where every shot feels memorable and every hole tells a story. With its dramatic natural setting and masterful design, The Lakes Golf Club at Ben Eoin isn’t just a round of golf — it’s a Cape Breton experience golfers will remember long after the final hole.

July 2 - Time TBA - Halifax, Nova Scotia - The Links at Brunello.

Phone: 902-876-7649          (includes green fee, cart, taxes & transportation to the course and return trip to ship) - $185 (US)

For golfers, there are few experiences more appealing than living beside a championship golf course. At The Links at Brunello, that dream becomes reality. Here, the game is not something you plan for occasionally—it’s something that becomes part of your daily lifestyle. With an exceptional course design, outstanding practice facilities, and a welcoming clubhouse atmosphere, Brunello offers a complete golfing experience for players who truly love the game.

At the heart of the community is The Links at Brunello, a spectacular 18-hole championship course designed by renowned Canadian golf architect Tom McBroom. Known for creating courses that blend seamlessly with the natural landscape, McBroom crafted Brunello to challenge experienced golfers while remaining enjoyable and playable for all skill levels. Rolling fairways, strategic bunkering, dramatic elevation changes, and beautifully contoured greens make every hole memorable.

The course has earned impressive recognition within the golf world, including being voted among the Top 3 golf courses in North America by Golf Digest in 2015. This distinction highlights Brunello’s outstanding design, conditioning, and overall playing experience. Golfers from across the region—and far beyond—come to test their skills on a course that is both visually stunning and strategically demanding.

The golfing experience continues at the Brunello clubhouse, which serves as the hub for players before and after their rounds. The clubhouse lounge provides a relaxed setting where golfers can gather, share stories from the course, and enjoy casual snacks or meals. Whether celebrating a great round or simply relaxing with friends after a day on the links, the atmosphere is welcoming and comfortable.

Brunello also offers additional amenities designed specifically for golf enthusiasts. Downstairs in the clubhouse is a state-of-the-art golf simulator, allowing players to practice their swing, analyze their game, and even play virtual rounds on world-famous courses regardless of weather or season. It’s a perfect way to stay sharp year-round while enjoying the game indoors.

With its award-winning course design, golfer-focused facilities, and the rare opportunity to live just steps from the fairways, The Links at Brunello stands as one of Nova Scotia’s premier golf destinations. For those who truly love the game, it’s more than just a place to play

SOLD OUT! SOLD OUT! We already have 14 golfers!

ATTENTION DIE HARD GOLFERS:  On July 3 - Portland, Maine, USA - We have two ASGA members who belong to a private golf course in Portland, the Woodlands Country Club. We will have room for 14 ASGA members to play this course today. Time at 2:30 pm. (No worries, the ship won't leave until 10 pm.) Cost is $140, which includes round-trip group transportation.

Our Competition: Par 3's and Mulligans

We will not have team competitions or team prizes. Handicaps are not important. The only competition we will have will be on some of the par-3s. Par-3 winners will receive a $100 bill at the next gathering of the full group.

Buy Mulligans, They're Worth It!

The new rule on proximity competition is that if you purchased mulligans, you can use no more than one (1) of your mulligans on the closest-to-pin (proximity) competition. In other words, you get a SECOND SHOT at winning the $100 for that hole. Men and women play the same hole (different tee boxes), but there will be TWO WINNERS PER HOLE (the lady and the gentleman) on the competition holes.

Golf Play Format

We'll play USGA Rules of Golf (play your own ball, not someone else's!), so please "brush up" on the USGA Rules of Golf. They are not suggestions!

We will not be asking for handicaps since there are no team competitions, and scorecards will therefore not be dotted.

Club Rentals, Caddies, and Motorized Golf Carts

The golf courses typically don't have a decent selection of golf club rentals, which is why we recommend either bringing your own clubs or renting through GolfAnza.net  (see green tab at left on club rentals). We found their prices reasonable and remember, the exchange rate is in our favor. Any time any website quotes a price, say $100, your price will be around $75!

No courses have caddies.

All courses have motorized golf carts, and the price is included in the green fee prices shown at the green golf tab at left.

Golf Club Movement

You will have to keep an eye on your golf clubs to make sure they are in the specific vehicle each day you play golf. This is up to you and no one else.

Golf Club Rentals

We understand there are limited amounts of golf clubs you can rent at most courses. The courses we contacted indicate there is a "limited supply" of rental clubs or none available.

There is one company that appears to provide rental clubs in Quebec City and even the province of Quebec. GolfAnza.net, from what we can tell, works similarly as as ShipSticks.

You fill out a form from that website and prepay or put a deposit down.

Here is how it works at the GolfAnza website:

Six Simple Steps to Rent and Return Golf Gear.

1. Book Your Gear: Select the golf equipment you need and place your order.
2. We deliver: Your gear arrives with a return shipping label at your hotel, golf course, or home.
3. Enjoy your game: Play golf with premium gear while keeping the box for return.
4. Pack and Label: Place the gear back in the box and attach the return shipping label.
5. Return with ease: Drop the box off at any UPS store near you.
6. Deposit release: Once we receive the gear, your security deposit will be refunded promptly.

At this point, ASGA can only assume that you would have your set of clubs sent to the first course you are playing, e.g. Cap Rouge, otherwise, the next course you will play. You keep the clubs in your cabin and at the end of the cruise, we off-load all clubs and take them to a UPS store in Boston. We'll likely have to hire a van to bring them to the UPS store.

If you're doing the club rental through GolfAnza, be sure to pack-up your clubs in the box they provided and attach the return shipping label. Don't take a chance losing that return label. Once you've picked up your shipment from GolfAnza, go ahead an attach the return label to the box so you can't lose it.

Note:  ASGA assumes no responsibility for lost, stolen, or damaged golf clubs, bags, or content in golf bags, whether yours or someone else's. Rentals are on your own.

The Fairmont Le Chateau Frontenac

The Fairmont Copley Plaza

Our final nights will be at The Fairmont Copley Plaza, arriving July 4th. Check in time is 4:00 pm, however, if your room is ready, you may be able to check in earlier.

MEALS

Dinners

We plan to provide dinners or dinner suggestions for each night we're on this trip, OR, some nights you'll "scatter" and head out to a restaurant that is, or might be, walking distance from the hotel.

You'll be given a list of walkable restaurants in your Program & Pairings Guide before the event (via PDF to your email inbox) and at the registration table.

At the Fairmont Le Chateau Frontenac, where we'll spend our first three nights, we'll have dinner on the 26th of June, assuming the hotel provides a dinner at a cost within our budget. On previous nights, we'll scatter those nights to try out different restaurants.

If we tee off at noon or in the afternoon at a given course, we'll have our dinner at the course around 5:30 or 6 pm or on the cruise ship. Any pre-arranged group dinners will be included in the round of golf price.

Five dinners will be on the ship.

When we arrive in Boston on July 4, we have an early dinner at the Fairmont Copley Place and then head to a location where we can view the fireworks. Unless you've packed a lawn chair in your suitcase, you'll likely do some standing or a lot of walking around that evening. Suggestions may come. We cannot stay on the ship and watch the fireworks. As soon as we get off the ship, we cannot return to the ship as it will be getting prepared for a return trip to Quebec City the same day.

One caveat on the July 4 dinner at the Fairmont. We're negotiating pricing for the dinner and if the price does not fit our budget, we will eat elsewhere.

Breakfasts

Because some attendees eat a light breakfast and others want the full buffet, we are not including any breakfasts in the "land" package price of this event.

Lunches

ASGA rarely pays for your lunch. If we find a place that we can work into our schedule, we may schedule a lunch or two, which will likely be at an additional cost or on your own.

Excursion/Activities

We are consulting the cruise line regarding additional activities while in the port towns. This information will be provided to you soon. Going through an excursion or activity company, most of their items will be at some additional cost, which is not added to the trip/event cost. Info to be given to you at a later date once we see what options we have.

Passport and Travel Tips

You must present your passport upon entry into Canada. Driver's licenses are no longer allowed.

Have you checked the expiration date of your passport?  Make sure it is at least six (6) months before your expiration date.

A member mentioned that you need your passport to get on the ship the first day so remember to carry it with you.

Take this S.T.E.P.

Many people like to enroll in the Smart Traveler Enrollment Program with the U. S. State Department just to let them know that you are in another country.  To do so, go here.

Travel / Trip Insurance Notice

ASGA has had members incur financial losses in the past due to not purchasing travel insurance. While we understand that trip insurance is an added expense, it can provide valuable protection—especially if you have a health condition or other circumstances that could potentially impact your ability to travel.

Please note that travel/trip insurance is not included with this event (or any ASGA event). You may purchase coverage independently if you choose. Depending on the policy, coverage may include reimbursement for airfare, registration fees, and other related travel expenses. Please review the policy details carefully to understand coverage limits, exclusions, and eligibility requirements.

ASGA members also have access to a policy offered through Nationwide Insurance at the link below, which includes an optional Cancel For Any Reason (CFAR) upgrade for added flexibility. CFAR coverage may allow partial reimbursement if you cancel for reasons not otherwise covered under a standard policy (see policy for full details and conditions).

Important: If you decide to purchase travel/trip insurance, you may need to do so within a few days after making your trip payment, as many insurance providers require purchase shortly after the initial deposit. This timing requirement is set by the insurance company and may affect eligibility for certain benefits, including CFAR coverage

Event Cancellation.

1. Credit Card or Debit Card Payments to ASGA.  Any credit or debit card payment to ASGA, before, during or after the event, will carry a 2.75% surcharge. You can also pay by Zelle, just USE OUR ZELLE ID OF 980-833-6450.

2. Exchange Rate.  Our ASGA price for this Canada + Boston trip is based on an exchange rate from XE.com of CAN$ 73.5 to US 100.00. By the time you pay, check with ASGA to see if there are any variations in the exchange rate.

3. Itinerary Changes.  ASGA reserves the right to make changes in the itinerary as needed as long as the attendee receives the other item(s) with the same value.  In other words, if a golf course needs to be changed because we don't have the requisite number of players or if we have too many players, then a comparable course (dollar-wise) will be substituted.  If the alteration is major, such as deleting the number of days in the trip, you will have the option of accepting the alternative arrangements or receiving a full refund.  No refunds on golf if there is rain UNLESS the course is closed and the course provides a refund to us.

4. Airline Reimbursements.  ASGA shall never be responsible for reimbursing you for your airline and/or travel expenses in getting to or from this event.

5. Emergency Contacts.  ASGA asks that you provide ASGA with an emergency contact number in the event you are personally injured, can't be found, or in any other emergency at the time of registration.  By signing up for this event, you release ASGA of any liability for any loss, damage, or injury while partaking in this event.

In Canada the emergency number is 911, just like ours in the States. This number is used for police, fire and medical emergencies. If you are in a crisis or need immediate assistance, you should call 911 from any landline or mobile phone in Canada. Please notify Tom Alsop, event host, if something comes up, an emergency or any other urgent matter - put his number in your phone:  704-577-9481.

6. Force Majeure.  ASGA accepts no responsibility for and shall not be liable in respect of loss or damage or changes caused by force majeure events such as strikes, riots, political unrest, war hostilities, or threat of war, terrorist activity, industrial disputes, fire, flood, weather problems, or similar events beyond its control.

7. Website Description.  Every effort has been made to ensure the accuracy of descriptions and information. However, we are not always able to control all components of the arrangements, and it is possible that an advertised facility may be withdrawn or changed, due to weather conditions, lack of demand, or for maintenance, renovations, etc. We will advise you if we become aware of a major change.

8. If You Have a Non-ASGA-Related Complaint.  Should you have any complaint not related to ASGA, you are urged to discuss it at the time with the airline, hotel, course or car rental company. If your complaint is not resolved or if you believe ASGA can assist you, please notify Tom Alsop at 704-577-9481. You may have to dial a "1" before that phone number.

9. Group Travel.  This event is considered group travel, meaning you enjoy the event as part of the overall group.  Our group will travel together, typically in a motorcoach at certain events. If you miss your group transportation on a given day, the group shall continue on its schedule without regard for your situation, and it is up to you to find your way to meet up with the group ahead of you. Motorcoaches depart our various locations at stated times, so make sure you're on the coach. We will wait no longer than ten (10) minutes for you on any motor coach departure. As the saying goes, "if you're on time, you're late!"

Please note that the group leader(s) have reserved the front right two (2) seats on all motorcoaches we utilize each day.

ASGA is not responsible if you miss any group transportation, group events, golf, dinners, etc., and there shall be no price adjustment unless the fault lies with ASGA.

10. Food.  ASGA understands that some individuals have special dietary needs. Since all group dinners will be in different restaurants and knowing our group will scatter in some cases, we might not be in a position to help you. IN ANY CASE, PLEASE PROVIDE TO TOM@SINGLESGOLF.COM YOUR SPECIAL DIETARY NEEDS, AND HE WILL RELAY THAT INFORMATION TO EACH OF OUR POSTED RESTAURANTS. IT WILL BE UP TO YOU TO IDENTIFY YOURSELF TO THE EVENT CAPTAIN OR STAFF MEMBER THAT YOU'RE THE ONE WITH A SPECIAL DIETARY NEED.

11. Golf Cancellation Due to Weather.  If the golf course closes due to weather, it's up to the course to determine if there is a refund, not ASGA. If the course is open and there is rain, there is probably no refund on golf fees. Watch the weather forecast and be prepared to have rain gear, umbrella, etc. in your bag.

12. We have or will collect your cell phone number and use a service called SimpleTexting.com to send out text messages to our attendees at all multi-chapter events. We need this service in case an important notice needs to go out. By providing your cell number to us, you are giving us permission to call and/or send text messages to your phone.
