We anticipate another great turnout because the hotel has given us a great rate. So explore the various tabs on this website and sign-up soon. Save additional when you room with a friend; otherwise, we guarantee we can pair you with a same-gendered roommate if you register and pay by February 22nd. We'll play Dunes West and Stono Ferry for our two package rounds of golf and two additional (day-of-arrival and day-of-departure) rounds for the die-hard golfers.

IMPORTANT:  We have reserved a block of rooms our three peak nights (Sun/Mon/Tues).  You can register at any time, however, when we fill-up the block we have reserved, we will seek to add more rooms, but there is no guarantee rooms will be available as the public will be reserving rooms during this time period as well. So please don't assume you can wait until the last minute to register.  And if you know you'll have a roommate, please try to get both of you to register around the same time if possible.

THE PACKAGES

Included in all packages is the following:

  • Three (3) nights' stay at the Francis Marion Hotel in downtown Charleston, SC
  • Two (2) rounds of golf: Dunes West and Stono Ferry 
  • First night's welcome reception (cash bar)
  • Six food functions: Three (3) full breakfast and three (3) dinners
  • Welcome gift, Program and Pairings Guide, Nametags, ASGA Prize Certificates for winners of competitions  
  • All taxes and/or fees

PARKING: The hotel is located in a packed and congested area of downtown Charleston and does not have a parking lot of its own. Therefore, if you wish to park a car next to the hotel, you'll have to use the City of Charleston's parking garage at a cost of $20.00 per night. The parking garage is located at 399 Kings St., Charleston, SC 29403. You can also valet park for $25 per night.

Airfare is NOT INCLUDED in any package.  See the "Getting There" link on left for airport information and resort address.  Once you are there at the hotel, we'll have a "Need-A-Ride / Give-A-Ride" form so you can hop a ride to the courses. We'll also have the FORUM button set-up on this sit where you can communicate with other attendees and set-up a ride-share to the airport via taxi or Uber.

All taxes and resort service fees have been included in the above package pricing.

The Francis Marion Hotel + Extra Nights at Discounted Rates

All of our rooms at the hotel are "run of house,"  ROH gets us a great group rate. Included with each room: 
  • In-Room wifi
  • Access to fitness center
  • In-Room coffee and in the lobby

Golf

 

 

Because we're staying at a mid-town hotel, all golf courses are off-property with an average drive time of 25-30 minutes except for Patriots Point Links.

Courses.  On our first day of package golf (Monday, March 23), we will play the Dunes West Golf Club for a 12:00 pm shotgun start.

At this course, gentlemen will play the blue tees at 6,100 yards; ladies will play the red tees at 5,129 yards.  A copy of the scorecard can be reviewed here.

On our second day of package golf (Tuesday, March 24), we will play Stono Ferry Golf Course. We will shotgun this course at 9:30 am.

Gentlemen will play the black combo tees at 5,800 yards; ladies will play the forward tees.  A copy of the scorecard can be reviewed here.

Golf Play Format.  We will play our own ball each day using the USGA Rules of Golf

If you don't have your own car, ASGA will have a "Need-a-Ride / Give-a-Ride" form at registration whereby you can set-up a ride to the various courses if you wish. 


Optional Rounds of Golf - We will offer two optional rounds of golf, for fun only with no competitions:

Day-of-Arrival - March 22 - 11:00 tee times - Patriots Point Links.  Cost: $89 for cart and green fees. Range balls add'l.

Competition and Prizes.  For our primary package rounds, prize certificates go to the first and second place team winners. Scoring based on the two (2) best net balls out of each foursome and closest-to-pin competitions on certain par 3s.  Winners will be announced at our final nights' award's dinner. ASGA $25 Prize Certificates will be awarded to the winners.  Prize Certificates are good toward $25 off your annual ASGA dues, $25 off any upcoming ASGA-National-sponsored multi-chapter event for up to one year later, or an ASGA-logoed golf shirt (incl. shipping). Certificates a bit beyond one year after this event is over and are non-transferrable and cannot be replaced if lost or stolen. Prize certificates are not valid for ASGA cruises.

Golf Club Storage.   You may leave your golf clubs at the bell stand upon arrival but remember to take them with you each day or leave them in your car. Make sure your name is on your golf bag.  Also, make sure you have your name on each of your clubs. ASGA provides a set of 14 labels as part of your membership fee. If you don't have your name and contact phone on each of your clubs, go here to order a set. Allow 7-10 days for processing. When you leave the hotel to return home, be sure to remember to pack your clubs!  

ASGA or the staff at any of our courses reserve the right to modify the time of play schedule based on the number of players as we get closer to the event. Simply put, if we don't have enough for a shotgun, we do straight tee times.

Food

If you have a special dietary need, please indicate that on your registration form.

In all packages, the following will be included:

  • Welcome Reception/Dinner on Sunday at 7pm at the hotel. 
  • Three (3) full breakfasts included each morning of the 23rd, 24th and 25th.
  • Three (3) dinners (first dinner at the hotel, second dinner at the\ Dunes West clubhouse directly after our round on Monday plus a final award's dinner on Tuesday night at Rue de Jean, about 2-3 blocks from the hotel.

Food Allergies and/or Special Dietary Needs:  If you have a special dietary need, e.g. gluten free, meat free, fat-free, pork-free or a nothing burger, etc., you must notify at the time you register. Please DO NOT ask right prior to the food function as there will be no time to take care of your needs. There is a place on the registration form for you to indicate your dietary need. Once we are at a particular venue, it is UP TO YOU to notify the restaurant/venue staff who you are and that you are the one with the special dietary need. We will not try to find you (thank you!).

Please be advised that certain functions, such as breakfast or other times when buffets are present, pork (bacon/sausage) may be on display.

Getting To the Francis Marion Hotel in Charleston, SC

There's a high probability that if you're driving to this venue, you'll have some sort of GPS with you.  So here's their information to put into your system:

If you're flying, you'll want to fly into Charleston International Airport (CHS) which is located about 25 miles from the hotel. No shuttle service to the hotel is available, however, we suggest Uber or Lyft or a taxi to get you to the hotel. 

PARKING: The hotel is located in a packed and congested area of downtown Charleston and does not have a parking lot of its own. Consider sharing the cost of a rental car with others in your chapter or friends arriving about the same time at the airport.
