The LA/OC Chapter of ASGA plays golf as a group twice a month, but many of us play golf together much more often than that. I for one play golf with someone from our group at least 8 to 10 times a month. But our group events are the most fun, especially for those who stay around for the dinners after golf. If you are a new member and have not yet played with ASGA LA/OC, or you have not been out with us lately, please join us for one of our upcoming rounds at one of the great courses we have planned. Just email me and I will put you on the list to play.

In October we played Coyote Hills in Fullerton on Saturday October 13. We had 12 golfers committed to play, but the first rain in a year scared a few off. Despite the threats of rain, 10 of us had a great time at Coyote Hills and some of us were even able to play a pretty darn good round of golf. The $80 rate makes Coyote Hills one of my favorite events. After dinner, most of us moved down the road to Fullerton for great food and sports at Stubrik’s Steakhouse. We are working to set up this event again for next year.

Next in October, Jeff had us back at Industry Hills Babe Course at the fabulous rate of $74. This time we had 91 degree weather that wilted a few of us, but still our 8 players enjoyed themselves at this unbelievable track and finished off the day in the site restaurant, RED, with drinks, dinner, and fun by all.

Coming up in November, we will play Oak Creek in Irvine on Saturday, November 3, for $89, followed by Mile Square Players Course in Fountain Valley on Sunday, November 11. In December, we will play Tijeras Creek in Rancho Santa Margarita on Sunday, December 2. And finally, as our year-end group event, John is having us back at Tustin Ranch on Saturday, December 8, followed by Julie having us all over to her house for our annualHoliday Party. This event is always a lot of fun, with a pot-luck dinner, lots of drinks, and a round-robin holiday gift exchange. Hopefully everyone will be able to join us this year at Julie’s. And many thanks to both John and Julie for arranging this.

Thanks to everyone that helps to make the LA/OC ASGA chapter so much fun. We are looking for ideas from our members for golf events, dinners, or other social activities for next year. All ideas are welcome. Our website calendar has the details for events planned so far; www.LA-OrangeCounty.SinglesGolf.com.

Look forward to seeing you in the coming months and especially at our holiday get-together Saturday, December 8.
