To summarize the last two months, April started with a very fun event at Mile Square Players Course in Fountain Valley. We always get a good turn-out for Mile Square at their $52 rate for walking, and not much more for riding. We had 16 players at Mile Square on a most beautiful of days. No one landed in the water, luckily, but the tales of the prior day’s swim grew larger by the day. After golf most of the players headed to the local Huntington Beach haunt, O’Connell’s, for great food and enough TVs to entertain everyone. We will be back at Mile Square and O’Connell’s again at the end of August. The next event in April was at Tijeras Creek in Rancho Santa Margarita on Saturday, April 28, at a rate of $79. We had two foursomes on a beautiful So Cal day at Tijeras.

May took us to Oak Creek in Irvine on Saturday, 19 May, at a great rate of $89. We had 12 players on a perfect 70 degree day. Just about everyone gathered after golf at Eureka Burgers in Irvine for lots of laughs, dinner, and drinks. You had your choice of watching baseball, basketball, or hockey that day, but most people simply enjoyed the camaraderie of the day. Next in May, Jeff had us back at Industry Hills Ike for his member’s rate of $90. Industry Hills is one of the gems of Southern California. We had 12 players, including a few new member prospects. Everyone had a perfect day, regardless of how many bunkers they got stuck in. The group dined lavishly in the RED Restaurant at Industry Hills before heading out to meet up with family and friends for the Memorial Day weekend. I have asked Jeff to have us back again at this great venue in the Fall.

Looking ahead, we have planned our golf events through August and are working on our Fall line-up now. Please send us any ideas you have for golf or dinner locations.  In June we will play Talega  in San Clemente on Sunday, 3 June, for $60, followed by Coyote Hills in Fullerton on Saturday, 16 June, for the rate of $80. Pam (] will be handling our two July events being held at Strawberry Farms in Irvine on Sunday, 15 July, and Tustin Ranch in Tustin on Sunday, 29 July (thanks to John for Tustin). August has us back at Skylinks in Long Beach thanks to John Isley, and finally at Mile Square Classic Course in Fountain Valley on Saturday, 25 August. Again, we welcome any ideas for future events, so just send us your suggestions.

Thanks to everyone that helps to make the LA/OC ASGA chapter so much fun. We really appreciate ideas from our members for golf events, dinners, or other social activities. Our website calendar has the details for events planned so far;

Look forward to seeing you on the links through the summer months.
