Most of October gave us perfect golf days in Southern California, with a few outlier bad days. In October, we played Talega in San Clemente on Sunday, October 8, for the great rate of $60. Everyone loved Talega and most of us headed to dinner just up the road at Cedar Creek Inn in San Juan Capistrano. We dined on prime rib and seafood while watching the Baseball playoffs. I have contacted the Head Pro at Talega to help us with another event at this great course for early next year.

Next, at the end of the month, we played Industry Hills, thanks to Jeff, for another great rate of $74. This is always one of our favorite courses. Because of the World Series and a few other plans, everyone headed out after the round. I have asked Jeff to set us up to play Industry Hills again early next year.

Coming up, Rae Ann has us booked at Arroyo Trabuco on Saturday, November 4, at a rate of $45. We play Oak Creek on Sunday, November 12, for $89. We will be at Black Gold for the first time on Sunday, December 10, at the rate of $85, followed by a Holiday party hosted by Rozanne in Brea at her clubhouse. We will finish out the year at Tijeras Creek on Saturday, December 16, at the rate of $90.

We are open to golf ideas for all year long and would especially like more LA county golf course arrangements. Just pick a course and a date, and we will be there. Remember that this is an all-volunteer organization and as such it works best when everyone helps with ideas for golf and other activities. Our website calendar has all the details for events planned so far;

My thanks to all who help with the group by booking golf events, dinners, or any other ideas for the organization.
