August did us a favor here in Southern California and cooled off for our golf events. On Sunday, August 13, we played Talega Golf Club in San Clemente for the first time as a group. We had perfect 77 degree weather and a beautiful sunny day. 12 players took advantage of Talega, followed by dinner in nearby San Juan Capistrano at Cedar Creek Inn. Everyone loved both the golf course and the restaurant, so we are going back there again in October. And the $60 rate for golf doesn’t hurt either.

Last weekend we played Monarch Beach in Dana Point in 73 degree weather with a beautiful ocean breeze. It was the most beautiful of days on the golf course. Again we had 12 players take advantage of the cool weather followed by dinner in the clubhouse/patio after golf.

Looking ahead as we move into Fall, we will be playing Tijeras Creek on Saturday, September 16, and Mile Square Players Course on Saturday, September 30. We are set up to play Talega Golf Club on Sunday, October 8, followed by Industry Hills later in October. Our website calendar has all the details;

My thanks to all who help with the group by booking events, dinners, or any other ideas for the organization.
