YOU HAVE TWO OPTIONS:

Choose "Tremblant Only" or "Montreal + Tremblant" Trip

Tremblant is roughly a 90-minute northwesterly drive from Montreal.  Depending on your departure city, some members may want to drive directly to Tremblant; if you don't drive, you'll likely fly into Montreal.  Many members may never have been to this part of Canada and may want to spend a couple of days in Montreal exploring the city.  So we offering this event as "Tremblant Only" or "Montreal + Tremblant."

Montreal + Tremblant

We realize five (5) days is a bit longer than many of our trips here in the USA, however, why go to Canada and just spend three (3) nights?  In short, the Tremblant + Montreal itinerary will look like this:

Sunday, July 16, 2017 - Arrive in Pierre Trudeau International Airport (Airport Code: YUL).  Taxi over to the Courtyard by Marriott in Old Montreal where you'll spend your first night.  Because our members will arrive at different times throughout the day, you'll be on your own until the group registration, reception and dinner at 7:30pm.

Monday, July 17 - Breakfast, followed by Montreal Sightseeing via motor coach, scatter in Montreal for lunch.  TBA sightseeing "at your expense" in the afternoon.  We'll give you some options.  Some venues have an entree fee, others not. Dinner at a local restaurant in early evening.

Tuesday, July 18 - Breakfast, followed by golf at group transportation to Val des Lacs Golf Course.  No back-tracking here, as Val des Lacs is on the way to Tremblant.  We have a 10:30 shotgun at Val des Lacs, bag lunch for you while playing golf, then head to Tremblant at 4pm-ish, checking into the Fairmont Hotel where you'll meet-up with the Tremblant-Only group and spend the next three nights.  From this point on, follow the "Tremblant Only" itinerary below.

Tremblant Only

Tuesday, July 18 - Arrive by car anytime throughout the day and explore the town on your own or in small groups.  The Mentreal+Tremblant group will arrive around 5pm.  Group registration, reception and dinner at 6:30pm.

Wednesday, July 19 - First round of golf at Tremblant - group dinner afterwards.  Non-golf times on your own, shopping/exploring.

Thursday, July 20 - Second round of golf at Tremblant - group dinner afterwards.  Non-golf times on your own, shopping/exploring.

Friday, July 21 - Departure.  Montreal + Tremblant group motor coaches at 9:00am back to Montreal airport and arrives at airport by 11:00am (approx.).  You should schedule your return airline for flights after 1-2pm, based on policy of your airline for international flights.

More details - see itinerary at left.

Take some time to review the links to the various aspects of this trip as shown below left.

We will post at this location IN GREEN anytime there are changes or notifications that we want you to become aware of.  ASGA has the right to make changes to this itinerary as long as we provide benefits equal to the original itinerary and benefit.

Important Note if You Want to Purchase Travel Protection

Travel protection IS NOT INCLUDED in the price of your package, however, if you purchase travel protection, you MUST activate it by completing a short form that the insurance carrier needs for you to complete.  THIS MUST BE DONE WITHIN TEN (10) days from the time you 1) sign-up and 2) make the FIRST payment for this event.  Failure to do so will cause you to automatically not be eligible for coverage or lose your coverage.  If you wish to have your plane ticket, car rental (if any) etc. covered, you will be given an opportunity to add coverage for those items while completing the form.  Go to the TRAVEL PROTECTION tab at the left to complete this process.

Hotels

Courtyard by Marriott in Montreal  (2 blocks from Old Montreal)

Fairmont Hotel in Tremblant  (the large building in the background)

If you want to do the Montreal + Tremblant trip, your first two (2) nights will be at the Courtyard by Marriott a few blocks from Old Town, Montreal, then you'll spend three (3) nights at the Fairmont Hotel in Tremblant.

If you want to just visit Tremblant, you'll go straight to the Fairmont Hotel on July 18th and you'll be there three (3) nights.

At both hotels, we have what's known as ROH rooms - - "run of house."  That means in order to secure our best rates, the hotel can utilize any of their beautiful rooms for our attendees.  The better our rates, the more attendees we'll likely have at the event.

Addresses and phone numbers of each hotel are on their websites.  Here are the hotel websites:

Courtyard by Marriott in Montreal       Fairmont Hotel in Tremblant

If you have any questions about the amenities at the hotel, please contact the hotel directly through their website.

For "things to do" while in either town, go to the Excursions tab at left.

Miscellaneous and Terms and Conditions

For our Terms and Conditions, Indemnification, etc., click here.

Other Things:

1)  There can be no cancellation of this event nor any portion thereof after June 1, 2017.  If you find you cannot attend after that date, please notify ASGA at info@SinglesGolf.com so that we will not be looking for you. If you need to drop-out, you can sell your registration to another member on your own.  Please do not ask ASGA to sell it for you.  Transfer fee is $25.

2)  Remember, basic trip insurance covering your package that you purchase from ASGA is NOT included in your registration fee. To purchase trip insurance, go to the TRAVEL PROTECTION link to the left if you want to cover your event cost, airline ticket and other things.

3)  If you're renting a car or arriving in your own car, valet parking nor self-parking at the hotel is included in your package price.   We understand you may be charged about 16-18 Canadian dollars to park your car in the hotel garage.  Please let us know if you are willing to give others a ride to courses and other venues by checking the box on the registration form.

4)  If you arrive in Montreal, you are responsible for getting to the hotel.  When we head to Tremblant on Tuesday, July 18, we0 will have a motor coach company move us from the Montreal hotel to Tremblant.  This will save you from having to rent a car and park the car in a parking garage in Tremblant.  Transportation back to Montreal will also be included.  If you do not want this service, i.e. as you may be renting a car, please let us know and we will rebate a portion of your package back to you.  The airport you'll want to fly into has is Pierre Trudeau International Airport, airport code YUL (as in Yul Brynner).  Click here to go to the airport website.

5)  To figure exchange rates:   A Canadian Dollar presently costs between 75 and 80 cents of USA money.  Current rates are listed at www.xe.com.  The rate shown at xe.com is what banks charge other banks when they transact millions of dollars.  You're always better off by paying for things in foreign countries with a credit card that does not charge an international fee, typically 3%.  So decide which credit card you want to bring with you and call your bank first.  You get the rate that's closer to what the big banks charge each other.  When you pay cash in Canadian dollars at retail establishments, you always pay a bit higher than the rate shown on xe.com as they tend to protect themselves.

* Register for this Event - IMMEDIATE DEPOSIT REQUIRED!

Please understand our process in putting together an event such as this and what you need to do in order to register:
  1. With all events ASGA hosts, we need to contracts with hotels and golf courses.  The first question they ask is "how many will you have attend this event?"  The best way we know to answer this is by the number of members who submit a small, non-refundable deposit towards the event.  If 50 people make a deposit, we reserve tee times and then hotel rooms based on a certain formula.
  2. The deposit amount, which indicates your desire to attend this event, is $99, of which, if you decide later you cannot attend, $79 will go towards renewal of your dues, i.e. adding 12 months to your current membership.  ASGA retains the other $20 as an admin fee.  Yes, it takes time to handle all of this work!
  3. Because we are going to Canada during its peak season, a deposit is very important.  We don't want to be paying "leisure rates" at the hotel later if we have to ask for more rooms.  Simply put, if you do not place a deposit, we may not have a room for you.
  4. If you register, the $99 deposit will go towards your final payment for this event indicated under the PACKAGE COST tab at left.
  5. To commit to attending this event, please click on the GREEN TAB - ABOVE LEFT - "REGISTER FOR EVENT" to remit your $99 deposit.  The $99 deposit GUARANTEES your spot in this event at the package costs indicated. You can also pay in full instead of just paying the deposit. All major credit cards accepted as well as your check payment.  If you use a major credit card, there will be a 3% transaction fee for not only the $99 deposit but for your final payment as well.
  6. By June 1, 2017 you need to fully pay for this event.  You'll need to make sure that you are a member at the time of the event.  To see when your dues expire, go here.
  7. If you're not a member, annual dues are $79.  Go to www.SinglesGolf.com/join to become a member and enjoy this trip with savings you would not get by not being a member of the American Singles Golf Association.
  8. You can sign-up for this event online or use a "hard copy" form if you are mailing a check.

You'll need your member number and password first. If you don't have it, request it by sending an email to our office manager: Irene@SinglesGolf.com

It's been at least 15 years since ASGA visited Tremblant, Canada last.  It has "grown-up" a bit and now has more hotel and restaurant options.  Their two golf courses are hilly and fun to play.

HERE'S OUR IMMEDIATE CONCERN:  ASGA needs to sign contracts with hotels and golf courses.  The first question hotels and courses ask is "how many will you have attend this event?"  The best way we know to answer this is by the number of members who submit a small, non-refundable deposit towards the event.  Non-refundable means you're pretty certain you'll attend.  The deposit amount, which indicates your desire to attend this event, is $99, of which, if you decide later you cannot attend, $79 of this deposit will go towards renewal of your dues, i.e. adding 12 months to your current membership.  ASGA retains the other $20 as an admin fee.  If you register, the $99 deposit will go towards your final payment for this event indicated below.

We are going to Canada during its peak season.  If you do not place a deposit, we may not have a room for you.

REMEMBER:  A $99* PAYMENT RESERVES YOUR SPOT.  FINAL PAYMENT DUE JUNE 1, 2017.

($99 BASED ON CHECK PAYMENT, OTHERWISE, 3% ADDED TO CREDIT CARD PAYMENTS - THEN DEPOSIT BECOMES $101.97)

The Packages     All pricing in U. S. Dollars.

Under our group contract with the Resort, we have what are called "ROH" or "Run of House" rooms. We do that to get our best rates and the best rate hopefully gets the largest attendance.  ROH means they can put you in any room in the hotel.

Also included are:  Program and Pairings Guide, Nametags, Golf Prize Certificates for those who have won proximity competitions.  If 52 or more attend, we'll also have 1st and 2nd place team awards for each round in addition to the proximity competitions.

CLICK ON THE GREEN TAB AT LEFT . . . "REGISTER FOR EVENT"

TO PLACE A DEPOSIT AND/OR REGISTER IN FULL.

Airfare is NOT INCLUDED in any package.  We will be hiring a motor coach to handle round-trip "group transportation" from the Montreal hotel to Tremblant and then a return trip from Tremblant back to either Montreal airport or the original hotel.

Local transportation to restaurants and courses while at Tremblant is not included, however, we'll have a "Need a Ride / Give a Ride" form once we're at Tremblant.  Many restaurants we can walk to in the evening.  Some people may have their own cars or may rent a car.  On the registration form, it will ask you if you will be renting a car and if you would allow others to ride with you. If you utilize another person's car, we ask that you contribute a proportionate share to offset that car rental for the time period you are there. Everything is just a short distance away.  Worst case scenario:  share a taxi ride to the courses with a friend. It's a lot less expensive than having a rental car sitting around each day.  Parking at the Tremblant parking garage is about $18 per day.
