Well, as it turns out, it DOES sometimes rain in California. And we found that out in February. We were rained out at Tijeras Creek in early February, but Richard will get us back on his course again soon, most likely in May. Our next event was Coyote Hills, and while it rained that day too, none of us gave in. We had 12 players who all stayed-the-course and played in the rain. Most of the group made it to dinner in downtown Fullerton, even though we looked like a group of homeless people after four hours in the rain. A good time was had by all despite the rains of February. Our January rounds at Industry Hills and Arroyo Trabuco provided us with much better golf weather; we will be back to these courses again in May or June.

Our next event will be a fun time at Tustin Ranch on March 11 followed by a party back at Julie’s house. John was able to get us a great rate of $77 for Tustin Ranch.  I played there today and the course is in perfect shape. Can’t wait for the ASGA event at Tustin Ranch.

Looking ahead, we are set to play Strawberry Farms on Sunday, March 26 at a special rate of $90. Following that, for the first time ASGA will play two great courses in South Orange County. We will play Monarch Beach in Dana Point on Sunday, April 9, at a special rate of $105. Next we will play Talega in San Clemente on Sunday, April 30, at the special rate of $77. Hopefully we have a good turnout for these great courses.  We have dinners and/or parties in work following each event. We welcome golf course ideas from everyone, so call your favorite course and find us a date to play there.

We look forward to seeing everyone on the links soon.
